About Me

I have been applying for a PhD at the University of St Andrews to enhance my understanding of medieval Anglo-Scottish border communities. It turned down years over the years, my result is lower than the entry requirement of the school and the university. I decide not to do a fourth application after many appeals, but to continue the project by myself--the knowledge can, at least, be passed down to someone who struggles in this research area due to the uneven survival sources, and, inspired other students to focus their studies on any aspects of medieval Scottish history.

That's why I am currently doing an informal academic blog related to my potential thesis proposal. I intend to share my preliminary research findings, reading lists recommended by my master supervisor, and some personal thoughts or doubts about intensive warfare.

This blog is not only designed to meet the academic needs of history students, but also aims to promote this infamous and unpopular topic to public audiences. All of you are welcome to leave any comments on my page, preferably, exchanging ideas to make a better contribution to medieval academia. At last, I would like to apologize for my poor writing skills which might cause an uncomfortable reading experience and a bad impression of this research project.

Thank you and Sorry!
